The legendary pianist Alfred Cortot (1877-1962) left behind a vast legacy of pianistic knowledge, documented in recordings, editions with advice on interpretation and technique, technical exercises, arrangements, books and articles, and more. Apart from being a busy solo performer, he was also active as a chamber musician (with Jacques Thibaud, Pablo Casals and others), conductor, teacher, and directorof his music school, Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris.

This website aims to catalogue his musical legacy in an easy-to-access fashion, for the education and enjoyment of pianists and music lovers alike.
